He soon found a partner in Massimo Baldini, his former boss at Delphi, and together they launched a string of successful stand-alone Internet radio products for consumers. The focus later shifted to software and the company engineered Livio Connect, a protocol for integrating mobile device apps with vehicle hardware systems. Ford Motor Co. took notice and acquired Livio as a wholly owned subsidiary in 2013. Jake and Massimo started Tome Software in April 2014.
