As a Solutions Engineer for the Commercial segment, you’ll partner with Account Executives to drive sales efficiency and accelerate deal cycles. You’ll deliver technical expertise, product knowledge, and customer-specific insights, often leading Proof of Concept (POCs) to ensure value is demonstrated at every stage of the sales process.

You’ll act as a trusted technical advisor, navigating dynamic sales cycles, aligning 1Password’s solutions with customer use cases, and ensuring technical requirements are met. Using frameworks like MEDDPICC, you’ll support opportunity qualification, validate success criteria, and influence champion engagement.

In this role, you’ll also serve as a product subject matter expert and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales Enablement, Product, Marketing, and Customer Experience, on customer initiatives and resources for the Go-to-Market team.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What you can expect:

• Serve as the primary technical advisor within the Go-to-Market team.

• Develop deep expertise across the 1Password product suite.

• Partner with Account Executives to support and accelerate deal cycles.

• Lead and manage Proof of Concept (PoCs) to validate solutions and demonstrate value.

• Recommend tailored technical solutions that align with customer use cases and business goals.

• Provide technical education and guidance to customers.

• Collaborate with Product and Support teams to shape solutions, surface feedback, and identify risks.

• Work with Sales Enablement and Product Marketing on technical resources for the Go-to-Market team.

• Prepare proposals and respond to RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and vendor assessments.

• Participate in occasional travel for conferences, customer on-sites, and company events.

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years of experience in customer-facing B2B roles such as Solutions Engineering.

• 2+ years of experience in a multi-product SaaS environment.

• Proven ability to collaborate with Account Executives to support and accelerate deal success.

• Skilled at managing and delivering PoCs to validate solutions and drive customer outcomes.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• Ability to quickly learn, adapt, and navigate dynamic customer conversations.

• Experienced in managing multiple projects independently while maintaining high quality.

• Familiarity with SaaS, security concepts, and technologies such as IAM, SCIM, AD, CLI, and SSO.

• Knowledge of sales methodologies like MEDDPICC for opportunity qualification and technical validation.

• Awareness of AI technologies with the ability to learn and articulate their business impact.

USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $100,000 USD and $140,000 USD, and is commission-eligible. This role is also immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Canada-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $93,000 CAD and $130,000 CAD and is commission-eligible. This role is also eligible for immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Our approach to work
We recognize the power of both in person collaboration and remote work. Some roles are designated as remote-first, with an expectation that individuals work from their homes majority of the time, while others are designated as in-office roles, with an expectation of being on-site on a regular basis. We recognize that certain roles benefit from regular, in-person connection to support collaboration, team cohesion, and customer engagement.

For all roles, occasional travel may be required. This includes things like: department-wide offsites, quarterly department meetings and periodic customer events. These events are typically held in varying locations across Canada, USA and/or EMEA. In leadership roles, you can expect to travel once per month on average.

Note: All go-to market roles will have an in-person onboarding in Toronto.
