Help define the future of hardware development! At AllSpice, we’re building the automation engine that powers the next generation of circuit design, enabling breakthroughs in smart vehicles, robotics, rockets, IoT, medical devices, and more.
We’re creating the agile development environment for hardware engineers with a Git-friendly translation layer and automated CI/CD framework for native circuit designs. Think GitHub/GitLab + Copilot for electronics.
Our mission is to bring the same modern workflows that revolutionized software: version control, automation, and collaboration to the hardware world.

Just as software teams rely on automated validation, continuous integration, and intelligent output generation, AllSpice GenAI brings these same superpowers to electrical engineering teams.
This role is a hands-on leadership position that will evolve as the GenAI team scales.
If you’re passionate about building automation systems and want to shape the foundation of modern hardware DevOps, we’d love to meet you!

This is a high-impact role that requires significant autonomy and requires a self-driven, collaborative person. You will be focused on owning major components of our automation engine and integrations. You will:
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design and implement innovative solutions that empower hardware engineers.
Build automation workflows that streamline and optimize circuit design analysis and processes, leveraging AllSpice’s platform and backend systems.
Develop integrations with third-party tools, LLMs, and MCPs.
Design and implement APIs to power AllSpice’s suite of AI products including DRCY.
Leverage modern AI techniques such as RAG, multi-agent evaluation processes, and planning models to deliver solutions.
Own and improve the team’s agentic software pipeline, driving continuous improvements in performance, reliability, and developer experience through monitoring and testing of application experience and performance.
Maintain and elevate code quality, fostering strong engineering practices through reviews, mentorship, and thoughtful design.
Work with the team to build a modern AI-driven application that can understand an engineers specific goals and requirements for hardware design.
Create a process for parsing and analyzing design files that parallels how an Engineer would conduct a design review. The system will dynamically create goals and planning processes to provide better reviews to our customers and provide actionable suggestions to Engineers.
Create RAG-based information repositories to capture component information and domain knowledge in a Context Store that can be accessed by our suite of tools.
Create MCPs to provide general domain context as well as customer-specific information to our fleet of LLMs.
Design and build feedback processes from domain experts, customers, and LLMs to continue to refine DRCY and add dynamic capabilities.
Integrating our systems with the outputs of circuit simulations to improve our LLM function calls.
We primarily build in Python and this team will create LLM orchestration and agent frameworks using tools like Pydantic AI and Langchain
Our Hub application is a soft fork of Gitea
Go [server-side]
Vue/TypeScript Front-end
We leverage GitHub actions for CI/CD and to trigger our agents
Docker Swarm & Terraform for deployment
AWS
Postgres DB
Our ideal candidate should have the following:
6+ years of software engineering experience designing and implementing modern applications in a cloud environment.
Strong API design skills and experience working with external teams in an an API-first approach.
Experience building LLM-enabled applications and an understanding of best practices with regards to prompt construction, interacting with context windows, and minimization of hallucinations.
Bachelor's degree or higher in a technology-related field.
Project management skills with ability to lead and collaborate with varied stakeholders, from engineers to customers, to move projects forward
Experience managing software projects using tools such as JIRA, Notion, or a similar issue-tracking system
Can think in terms of the big picture but deliver on the details
Ability to manage ambiguity gracefully, autonomy, and confidence in being self-directed
(Optional) Availability to work out of our flex offices in San Francisco or Boston on a hybrid basis (2-3 times/week)
You don’t necessarily have to be proficient in all of these, but the more you know, the better:
TypeScript, Python, Go programming languages
Github actions development and CI/CD
Common Web Architectures + interfaces
Project management and communication
Supportive and smart colleagues, flexible work, opportunity to make a big impact, competitive salary & equity, health, dental, vision, generous PTO, home office stipend.
