Our Solution:
Developers and owners no longer need to run building wiring or install in-unit hardware. Property managers can grant building access, revoke permissions, and review entry logs from an online dashboard. Residents can open doors from their smartphones, issue visitor access, and see who is trying to enter the building.

Role Overview:

As Controller, you will own and guide the company’s accounting, tax, and financial reporting functions. This role plays a critical part in maintaining strong financial integrity, ensuring adherence to U.S. GAAP, improving operational efficiency, and providing leadership to the accounting organization. You will help scale financial operations while supporting the company’s broader strategic goals. This role is based in our NYC Headquarters in a flexible hybrid model.

Responsibilities:

• Direct all accounting, tax, and financial reporting activities, ensuring precision, consistency, and regulatory compliance.

• Author and maintain technical accounting documentation, internal policies, and procedural guides to support clarity and operational consistency.

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including consolidations, preparation of financial statements, and delivery of reporting materials to internal leaders and external partners.

• Coordinate and support external audits, uphold a strong internal control framework, and oversee required tax filings.

• Own transfer pricing structures, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations while supporting tax efficiency.

• Regularly review existing processes and introduce improvements to strengthen accuracy, scalability, and efficiency.

• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, promoting accountability, growth, and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial practices align with business initiatives.

• Drive automation and system enhancements to reduce manual effort and improve data reliability.
  

Requirements:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance; background in SaaS environments is a plus.

• Prior experience at a Big 4 accounting firm is strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated expertise in consolidations and hands-on management of transfer pricing arrangements.

• CPA certification is highly valued.

• Experience overseeing or partnering closely on payroll operations is a plus.

• Proven track record of implementing automated solutions to improve team productivity and reduce risk.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a reputation for responsiveness and reliability.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to influence across functions and execute complex initiatives.

• Experience working with Sage Intacct is preferred.

• Comfortable leading distributed teams across multiple time zones and flexing work hours as business needs require.
