Role Description:
This position is for a Senior System Architect to contribute to the continued evolution and maintenance of the Alta Quoting Platform.
Key Responsibilities and Focus Areas:
As a Senior System Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction and ensuring the architectural integrity of the Alta platform, focusing on our Angular (frontend) and Java (backend) tech stack. Your responsibilities will include:
- Architectural Design & Oversight: Designing and evolving scalable, resilient, and performant architectural solutions for new and existing Alta functionalities, with a strong emphasis on Angular and Java best practices.
- System Integration & Optimization: Driving the seamless integration of Alta with diverse backend systems, ensuring robust data flow and optimal performance. This includes designing APIs and data structures that support efficient multi-product quoting and complex business logic.
- Technical Leadership & Guidance: Providing architectural leadership, technical guidance, and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and high-quality code delivery.
- Performance & Scalability: Identifying and implementing architectural improvements to enhance the platform's performance, scalability, and maintainability, particularly as we expand functionality.
- Problem Solving & Innovation: Leading complex technical problem-solving efforts and driving innovation within the platform's architecture.
- Phase 2 Expansion & Run and Maintain: Playing a critical role in defining and implementing the architecture for Phase 2 functionalities, and contributing to the robust "run and maintain" strategy to ensure the platform's long-term stability and value.
