🚀 About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our newly rebranded Data Team. The hire will lead designing, implementing, growing and optimizing the data and data-pipeline architecture of our product, consuming both live data feeds as well as database inputs, and creating a data platform that serves both live views, Analytics, and AI. The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up. The SW Engineer - Data Engineering will work closely with software developers, database architects, product managers, and customer representatives to handle data, analytics, and insights created for the new product. They will also ensure the data architecture and delivery are optimized.


What You'll Do:

• Create and maintain an optimal data pipeline architecture,
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS 'big data' technologies (e.g. Kinesis, Kafka, etc.).
• Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights
• Build backend Scala services to store, analyze and disseminate live data
• Keep our data separated and secure across national boundaries through multiple data centers and AWS regions.
• Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data system
