We believe the transformative potential of AI is significantly under-realised in our region. To bridge this gap, we are incubating a new division within Careem dedicated to Enterprise AI Transformation.
We are reimagining and building the future of work to simplify and improve how businesses function in the era of GenAI with WorkOS: a next-generation ‘operating system’ designed to deploy, orchestrate, and improve AI agents across every customer and operational journey (and increasingly autonomously). This isn’t just automation; it’s about creating a hybrid workforce where self-learning AI agents handle the heavy lifting, empowering our people to focus on the highest-value, most creative work.
The team
This group operates as a startup within Careem with a distinct mandate: move fast, build boldly, and deliver production-grade AI systems that fundamentally change how the region leverages technology.
The opportunity
We are looking for an exceptional Engagement Manager to lead our first client implementation team. You will be the strategic bridge between our Agentic AI Platform (WorkOS), our Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs), and our enterprise clients. Unlike traditional consulting, your role is not to deliver a proposal for others to execute; you are the architect of impact. You own the outcome, and your engagement lasts until the work is done and the value is fully realized.To drive this, you will lead a frontline "special ops" squad of FDEs and business consultants, translating complex operational challenges into production AI solutions.
This requires a rare blend of elite consulting pedigree, enterprise transformation experience, and technical savviness. You must be comfortable navigating the extreme ambiguity of a 0-1 startup while obsessing over the rapid delivery of real impact as the ultimate voice of our users.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver Impactful Transformations: Own the end-to-end transformation journey. You identify and strategize opportunities AND carry them through with process re-engineering and the deployment of agentic automations. You own the rollout and iteration within the client until impact is realized.
- Lead the Frontline Squad: Build and manage a high-intensity, world-class team of Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) and consultants. You are the general on the ground, balancing the 0-to-1 build speed of a startup with the strategic rigor and "spit and polish" required to navigate complex enterprise environments.
- Technical Translation: Act as the primary "decoder" between a client’s operational friction and our technical capabilities and team. You ensure the engineering team isn't just building impressive tech, but solving the right problems that move the needle for the client's bottom line.
- Navigate the Boardroom: Act as the strategic partner to C-suite stakeholders. You have the executive presence to navigate complex hierarchies, win internal alignment, and persuade skeptics to embrace a radical, AI-first organizational DNA.
- Rapid Impact Loops: Drive an obsessive focus on speed-to-value. You identify the shortest path to win and iterate based on real-world feedback, while maintaining an uncompromising bar for technical quality and operational excellence.
- Source Business: Act as a growth engine for WorkOS. You will actively pitch new, current, and past clients, identifying unmet needs where our agentic platform can drive the next wave of regional transformation.
What You’ll Need
- 5–10 years of experience at a top-tier management consulting or enterprise transformation firm (eg. MBB, OW, Accenture) or a high-growth, forward-deployed technical firm (eg. Palantir).
- The "Heretic" Consultant Mindset: You have the pedigree of a consultant but the hunger of a founder. You are bored by slide decks and driven by solving real-world problems.
- Technical Savviness: You don't need to code, but you must speak Agentic AI. You can hold your own in a discussion on RAG architectures or LLM orchestration with your FDEs.
- Transformation Exposure: Proven experience leading enterprise changes where you had to manage "the human element" alongside technical deployment.
- Obsessive User Advocacy: You represent the user in every room, ensuring the platform solves actual pain points rather than theoretical ones.
- Willingness to work on-site full-time in Dubai or on client sites in-region
