The Role:
We are looking for an engineering leader to manage Compa’s Data Foundations team. As an engineering manager, you’ll lead and support the team that is responsible for building, shipping, and delivering the products, systems, and product infrastructure that enables Compa to rapidly innovate while maintaining a high bar for data quality.
In this role you will:
In collaboration with Compa’s Co-founder & CTO and engineering leads on the Data Foundations Team, you will help define and deliver the technical vision for the systems that power the world’s largest software-delivered compensation data platform.
Own execution of the the technical vision for Compa’s foundational data systems and product infrastructure.
As the engineering leader on a cross-functional team, ensure successful delivery, stability, reliability, and internal developer experience supporting peer engineering teams.
Partner with Compa’s Director of Product on the roadmap for Compa’s data products.
Minimum Qualifications:
2+ years managing engineering teams
Highly influential spoken and written communication with XFN leaders, technical leaders, and customers
Track record of building and operating production software systems
Experience creating new XFN process when it serves the team and deleting process when it is the team serving the process
Low ego, with an appetite to build, and employ good judgment in making hard trade-offs with limited resources
Effectively recruit, mentor, retain, and measure high performing teams
Gumption — experience working at early-stage startups
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience shipping products that are delivered to enterprise customers
Experience with systems that handle data where data correctness and quality matter
