Summary

Support Deel's finance department by handling day-to-day financial transactions, requests and taking ownership of key month-end closing processes, ensuring accurate record-keeping inline with SOP's and policies. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure compliance and help maintain accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Key point of contact for the global area of intercompany processing, reporting and reconciliations.

• Prepare daily and monthly journal entries for multiple international entities, relevant supporting schedules and ensuring entries are compliant with internal and external controls.

• Adhere to the month end and quarter end close processes and timelines through completion of recurring tasks, high volume reconciliations and ensure compliance with US GAAP.

• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations in a compliant and timely manner.

• Coordinate audit requests for areas of responsibility and assist management.

• Identify process and control improvement opportunities and liaise with teams across the business to implement the appropriate modifications or/and new solutions.

• Utilize systems available with an attitude to make process improvements and striving to achieve operational excellence

• Process and verify expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any accounting-related issues or discrepancies.

• Perform Ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Accountancy qualification is an advantage

• US GAAP understanding and experience is an advantage

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with accounting software Netsuite, FloQast, Google Sheets is a plus..

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in teams.

• Eagerness to learn and develop new skills within accounting and finance.

• A proactive and positive attitude, with strong problem-solving skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data with discretion.
