We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Linux System Administrator to join our teams. The professional will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our information systems, playing a crucial role in the maintenance and evolution of our technological infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Systems Management and Maintenance: Administer and maintain the server infrastructure (physical and virtual), operating systems, networks, and applications, ensuring their proper functioning and availability.
- Implementation and Configuration: Participate in the implementation, configuration, and optimization of new systems and technologies, following best practices and security standards.
- Monitoring and Alerts: Implement and monitor alert systems to proactively identify and resolve performance, capacity, and security issues.
- Incident Resolution: Diagnose and resolve Level 2 and 3 incidents, collaborating with other teams and vendors when necessary, ensuring business continuity.
- Automation and Scripting: Develop and implement automation scripts to optimize routine tasks and improve process efficiency.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation about the infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other technical and non-technical teams, communicating clearly and effectively about technical issues.
- Project Participation: Collaborate on system implementation and upgrade projects, from the planning phase to delivery and follow-up.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in system administration, including server, network, and application management.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Linux).
- Experience with virtualization tools (Ex: VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell, but mainly Shell Scripting) for task automation.
- Expertise with Shell Scripting.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
Additional Qualifications (Valued):
- Experience with system monitoring tools (Ex: Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus).
- Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ex: Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Familiarity with Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with data backup and recovery tools.
- Knowledge of information security.
