Responsibilities:
• Draft and review family law documents such as petitions for dissolution of marriage, child custody agreements, motions, and financial affidavits.
• Assist with discovery processes, including Mandatory Disclosure and organizing financial documents.
• Communicate empathetically and professionally with clients to collect information and provide case updates.
• Manage court calendars, schedule hearings, and ensure filing deadlines are met.
• Prepare hearing binders and trial exhibits.
• File documents through the court’s e-filing portal; experience with Florida E-Filing Portal is a plus.
Skills:
• Experience: 2-3 years as a Paralegal, specifically in Family Law, with US clients.
• Education: Degree or certificate is welcomed but practical experience and autonomy are prioritized.
• Location: Knowledge of the Florida legal system and local court procedures is a significant advantage.
• Language: Professional proficiency in English (C1) with strong legal drafting skills.
• Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office, PDF editing tools, and case management software.
