Role Description: The SAP FI Functional Consultant is a senior, project-oriented position involving requirements gathering, functional design, process validation, and support for implementations and rollouts.
You will participate in an ongoing SAP HANA project, lead functional sessions in English, collaborate with technical programmers, and ensure the accurate translation of business needs to technical teams.
This role demands extensive experience in SAP FI, the ability to work in international, structured environments, and mastery of functional methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and participate in functional requirement gathering sessions
• Prepare functional documentation and functional designs (FDs)
• Join working sessions with project teams and clients
• Report project status clearly and promptly
• Translate functional requirements for the technical team (ABAP)
• Validate client information through reports and documentation
• Contribute to international implementations and rollouts
• Ensure compliance with project standards, processes, and methodologies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (functional, technical, PMs)
• Deliver on timelines and client expectations
Required Skills:
• Minimum 10 years of SAP FI Functional Consultant experience, with 5–10 years at senior level
• Proven experience in implementations and rollouts (not just ticketing)
• Expertise in SAP FI and HANA platforms
• Skilled in functional documentation and requirements gathering
• Able to work closely with technical teams (especially ABAP developers)
• English proficiency at C1 level (for meetings and documentation)
• Familiarity with management tools like Jira
• Retail experience is a plus
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
