We are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, building, automating, and operating OpenShift / CNIS (Cloud Native Infrastructure Solution) environments that support RAN (Radio Access Network) related testing. The engineer ensures environments are reliable, scalable, secure, and fully automated across the full lifecycle—from provisioning and deployment to upgrades and day-2 operations—using Ansible, Python, and CI/CD pipelines. They also provide 2nd/3rd line support, troubleshoot complex platform, networking, and storage issues (including telco-grade components like SR-IOV and PTP), and maintain strong monitoring, security, and compliance practices, continuously improving platform stability and operability.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support integrations, decommissioning activities, and continuous improvement of test infrastructure.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Design, build, and maintain stable, reproducible, and auditable cloud and lab environments for CNIS and RAN testing.
- Automate the full platform lifecycle, including provisioning, configuration, deployment, upgrades, and day-2 operations.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management solutions to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Integrate platforms with enterprise CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and secret management solutions.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and operational support across cloud, container, network, and RAN domains.
- Ensure environments meet security, compliance, and reliability standards through best practices and automation.
- Collaborate with development, QA, network, and platform teams to support complex, multi-domain test scenarios.
- Continuously improve platform reliability, performance, and security through monitoring, feedback, and automation.
A University Qualification in DevOps/Cloud Platform Engineering or a related degree is required.
- At least 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Platform Engineering roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Experience operating and supporting cloud-native platforms, including deployments, upgrades, and day-2 operations.
- Good Linux and infrastructure fundamentals, and confidence troubleshooting issues across containers, networking, and storage.
- Basic to solid understanding of cloud-native and infrastructure networking concepts, including VLANs, routing, firewalls, DNS, and load balancing; exposure to SR-IOV or performance-focused networking is a plus
- Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code, especially using Ansible and Python.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
- Comfortable working in complex and distributed environments.
- Good spoken and written English for collaboration and support
Nice to have
- Experience supporting or testing RAN / telecom environments.
- Experience with CNIS-specific automation (pre-flight checks, template selection, relay, OMC/BMC integration, day-2 operations)
- Familiarity with CNIS upgrade/rollback, patching, and compliance (e.g., SP122 sysctl, kernel modules, disk encryption, seccomp)
- Ability to debug CNIS-specific issues (e.g., relay, OMC, PTP, NAD, storage, and network onboarding)
- Familiarity with RAN-specific network and storage requirements (e.g., SR-IOV mapping, PTP, NAD, L1BP, OAM)
