We are seeking a highly strategic and driven Director of Operations to oversee and optimize the daily operations of a rapidly growing, multi-state Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) company. This is a remote leadership role that requires a results-oriented professional with a deep understanding of healthcare operations, compliance, and team management across multiple regions. The Director of Operations will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) to develop and execute scalable systems that support sustainable growth and operational excellence.
*Key Responsibilities*
Partner with the COO to implement operational strategies that align with the company’s mission, growth objectives, and compliance standards.
Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple states, ensuring adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, payer requirements, and ABA-specific compliance mandates.
Develop and monitor KPIs across clinical, administrative, and financial operations. Drive accountability through data-driven decision-making and continuous process improvement.
Provide direct supervision to regional directors, clinical operations leads, and administrative managers. Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and professional development.
Collaborate with the COO and CFO to oversee budgets, forecast growth, and track profitability. Ensure efficient resource allocation and identify opportunities for operational optimization.
Evaluate and implement operational systems and technologies that enhance scheduling, billing, payroll, EVV, and reporting efficiencies across states.
Maintain full compliance with Medicaid, insurance, and behavioral health regulatory requirements, ensuring documentation, credentialing, and audit readiness.
Assist with opening new service areas, licensing, and payer contracting. Develop scalable infrastructure and standardized procedures to support expansion.
*Qualifications*
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
7+ years of operational leadership experience in behavioral health, ABA, or healthcare administration.
Proven experience overseeing multi-state operations or multi-site organizations.
Strong knowledge of Medicaid, insurance billing, and compliance frameworks related to ABA or behavioral health services.
Demonstrated success in organizational scaling, system implementation, and performance management.
Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage teams remotely and build strong cross-functional relationships.
