At Grant Thornton New Zealand, we are looking for Senior Auditors to join our Auckland & Wellington offices. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to work alongside experienced partners and managers while delivering high-quality audit services to a variety of clients. You will be instrumental in guiding junior auditors and taking ownership of audit engagements from start to finish.
What you will be doing:
As a Senior Auditor, you will lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations. Your insights and technical knowledge will help clients improve their business operations and financial reporting processes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
· Leading and managing audit engagements, adhering to professional standards
· Preparing and reviewing financial statements for accuracy and compliance
· Conducting risk assessments and developing appropriate audit strategies
· Collaborating with clients to understand their business challenges
· Mentoring and supervising junior team members to facilitate their professional development
· Staying current with changes in the business and regulatory environments

About You:
· At least 3 years of experience in external auditing
· Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and auditing standards
· Proficient in using audit software and the Microsoft Office suite
· Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Professional designations (CA, CPA) are highly desirable
· A relevant bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
· Proven experience managing complex audits and projects
· Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
