AAVantgarde is a clinical-stage, international biotechnology company that has developed two proprietary adeno-associated viral (AAV) vector platforms to address the DNA cargo capacity limitations of AAV vectors. AAVantgarde team are looking for a data engineer that understands the complexities of managing a clinical trial including the processes and needs to anonymize patient data and to be able to understand deep data patterns around the outcomes of clinical trials
The new member will collaborate closely with their data management, biostatistics, analytics, and infrastructure teams to ensure the seamless integration of Snowflake within their ecosystem.
Design, implement, and maintain Snowflake data warehouses and data lakes using clinical trial data.
Develop ETL processes to ingest data into Snowflake from various sources.
Optimize Snowflake performance through query optimization, resource management, and workload tuning.
Monitor and troubleshoot Snowflake environments to ensure high availability, reliability, and security.
Work closely with data engineers and data analysts to understand data requirements and design appropriate Snowflake solutions.
Stay up-to-date with the latest Snowflake features, best practices, and industry trends.
Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and clients on Snowflake-related issues.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as a Snowflake Engineer or similar role, with hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing Snowflake solutions.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling principles.
Сlinical trial experience
Proficiency in SQL and experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Snowflake certifications (e.g., SnowPro Core, SnowPro Advanced) are a plus.
