We’re looking for a Hindi-speaking Topic Researcher who can consistently surface compelling, high-retention story ideas for a leading creator-led media studio in the mystery and true crime space.
This role is focused on finding stories, not writing scripts. You will spend your time deep in archives, forums, regional news, and non-obvious corners of the internet to uncover strange, dark, mysterious, or unexplained stories rooted in India and Hindi-language sources.
You will work closely with writers, researchers, and production teams to help shape the early foundation of stories that later become long-form video and podcast content. This role is ideal for someone who loves research for its own sake and knows how to separate genuinely interesting stories from surface-level noise.
Why You’ll Want to Join
- You will be paid in USD (bi-monthly: every 15th and 30th)
- Up to 14 days of Paid Time Off annually (starting Day 1)
- Observance of Holidays per company guidelines
- 100% remote setup so you can work wherever you’re most productive
- Work with a globally recognized creator-led studio in long-form storytelling
- Direct impact on content watched by millions of viewers worldwide
- Opportunity to grow with the team as additional language research roles expand

- Stay current on emerging stories while also uncovering evergreen material
- Surface patterns or recurring themes that may inform future content direction
What You Bring
- Fluency in Hindi and English, written and spoken
- Strong familiarity with Indian culture, history, religion, and legal context
- Demonstrated experience conducting deep online research
- Comfort navigating forums, archives, long-form articles, and non-mainstream sources
- Strong written communication and clear summarization skills
- High attention to detail and strong judgment around source credibility
Nice to Have
- Experience researching true crime, mystery, or investigative topics
- Familiarity with tools like Feedly, Google Alerts, Medium, forums, or archive sites
- Additional language proficiency beyond Hindi and English
- Background in research, journalism, writing support, or executive assistance
How to Apply
Please include:
- Your updated resume
- A short 1–2 minute Loom video introducing yourself and explaining how you approach research and topic discovery
- A brief written example describing one story you believe would make a strong long-form mystery or true crime episode
