Job Overview
Jensen Hughes is now seeking an experienced Professional Engineer (Structural) to join our team in Schaumburg, IL. Note, this role accepts remote work and residence in the Chicago area is not required. Jensen Hughes also has an office in downtown Chicago. In this role you will be responsible for managing and working primarily on our energy and utility projects including advanced reactor design, analysis of existing systems, and modifications in traditional nuclear plants. Design and analysis in other sectors (industrial, commercial, government, etc.) may also be required. This role will have projects responsibilities across the United States. Some site travel time may be required, but the majority of the work may be performed completely remotely.
This is a technical role and therefore a solid understanding of structural engineering concepts is required, with an emphasis on the following codes and standards:
Additionally, excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. In this role, you will demonstrate experience and passion in structural engineering and code knowledge.
