Mid-level Android Engineer

About the Team:

We have several cross-functional teams working on our Password Manager app. In these teams, mobile engineers collaborate closely with Product and Design, all under the guidance of an experienced engineering manager.

We’re currently hiring across multiple mobile teams, and you’ll have the opportunity to speak with the hiring manager to find the team that best aligns with your skills and interests.

Who will you work with?
You will collaborate closely with your engineering manager, fellow software engineers, and cross-functional partners in Product Management and UX Design. You will also work with QA engineers (manual and automation), architects, security experts, and release teams to ensure reliable product delivery.

What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?

• Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Product Managers, UX Designers, QA, and other development team members, to deliver new features to millions of users.
• Write highly maintainable and well-tested code while developing features end-to-end.
• Contribute to improving the architecture and code quality of the application.
• Re-architect legacy code to prepare the product for future scaling.
• Collect, analyze, and monitor data to ensure operational excellence and make data-driven decisions.

What does it take to work at LastPass?

• Hands-on experience in Android application development with a solid understanding of fundamentals (Java/Kotlin, Android Views/Jetpack Compose) and core APIs.
• Solid engineering and coding skills. Understanding of basic data structures and asynchronous programming.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Product-focused mindset, with a commitment to delivering value for users.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to efficiently collaborate with key stakeholders.

It's great, but not required:

• Hands-on experience with cryptography solutions and a strong understanding of security best practices.
