Who Are Massive Rocket?
Massive Rocket is a rapidly scaling Braze and Snowflake agency on a mission to transform how digital marketing, product, and engineering teams connect. In just five years, we’ve grown at speed and are now gearing up for our next big milestone: hitting $100M in revenue. We build human experiences at scale, powered by cutting‑edge web, mobile, cloud, data, and AI technologies. If you’re excited by innovation, love solving complex challenges, and want to help shape the future of digital experiences, you’ll feel right at home here.
Every role at Massive Rocket is entrepreneurial. The people who thrive here don’t just focus on their own remit—they understand the goals of the teams around them and actively contribute to the success of their colleagues, customers, and partners. We’re building a culture of ownership, collaboration, and growth, and we’re looking for people who want to make a real impact.
Who Are We Looking to Add to Our Team?
As our Data Architect, you’ll be the driving force behind modern, scalable data architectures—bringing together the power of Snowflake with the precision and impact of Hightouch. You’ll dive into client discovery sessions to uncover real data challenges, shape compelling solution narratives, and help position Massive Rocket as the partner they can’t live without.
You won’t just design the blueprint; you’ll elevate the whole team. You’ll guide our data engineers, translate vision into reality, and ensure every solution lands with clarity, quality, and impact.
What Will You Do?
• Lead discovery sessions and help shape data‑driven solutions for clients
• Design modern data architectures with Snowflake and Hightouch at the core
• Guide engineers to deliver high‑quality, scalable data pipelines
• Turn complex data into clear insights and actionable stories
• Set engineering standards and mentor the wider team
• Stay curious, explore new technologies, and help push our data practice forward
What Makes You a Great Fit
• Strong hands‑on experience with Hightouch, including designing and operating reverse ETL syncs, modelling sources, and optimising performance and observability
• Proven track record designing and implementing architectures that integrate a cloud data warehouse (preferably Snowflake) with Martech tools such as Braze and other customer engagement or analytics platforms
• Extensive experience in data modelling, building and tuning data pipelines, and working with modern data integration tooling
• Strong coding skills in SQL, Python, and comfort with version control, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading discovery workshops and turning requirements into robust technical designs
• Experience mentoring and guiding engineers or consultants, ideally in an agency or consulting environment with multiple concurrent client engagements
• Ability and willingness to travel to client locations
What Will Make You Stand Out
• Certifications in data architecture, Snowflake, or modern CDP/Martech platforms
• Hands‑on familiarity with Amplitude, GA4, Braze, and marketing automation platforms—and an understanding of how they fit into a composable CDP or warehouse‑native architecture
• Strong understanding of data security and privacy, especially in customer data and marketing use cases
• Confidence presenting and teaching—whether delivering data‑driven pitches, running workshops, or training technical and non‑technical audiences
