We’re at a pivotal moment in how we use data to run the business. As our first dedicated Business Analytics hire, you’ll build the source of truth for the metrics that matter, and make them intuitively accessible across GTM and Product. This role is for someone who’s both highly technical and deeply business-minded—someone who can move comfortably between SQL, AI-powered tooling, and conversations with leadership about what actually drives the company. You’ll architect the analytical backbone that founders, product, sales, and CS rely on every day to make sharper decisions, faster.
Key ownership areas:
Metrics definitions: Define ARR, NRR, churn, activation, CAC, LTV, and every other metric that matters.
Build dashboards: Executive dashboards, GTM performance, customer health, product analytics—you'll build and maintain them.
Be the source of truth: When someone asks "what's our churn rate?", you have the answer.
Partner across the business: Work with GTM, Product, Finance, and Leadership to understand their questions and build the views they need.
Enable self-serve: Build dashboards and documentation so teams can answer routine questions themselves. Train people on the tools.
Leverage AI to move fast: Use AI tools to accelerate your work—faster SQL, quicker analysis, better documentation. You're fluent in using AI to be more effective.
Metrics experience: 3-5 years defining and owning business metrics at a growing company—ideally B2B SaaS.
AI fluency: You use AI tools to work faster—writing queries, building analyses, documenting work. Not building AI systems, but leveraging them daily.
Data engineering knowledge: Comfortable working with modern data stacks and visualization tools (e.g. data warehouses and BI tools), and able to partner closely with engineers and RevOps to get the right data flowing.
Dashboard craft: You've built dashboards people actually use. Experience with Looker, Tableau, Metabase, Hex, or similar. You know the difference between "data available" and "insight delivered."
Business acumen: You understand why metrics matter, not just how to calculate them. You can partner with GTM, Product, and Finance in their language.
