About the Role:

Motive Technologies is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager, Telematics, who is passionate about building new full-stack, end-to-end capabilities and features that will serve as the data backbone that powers Motive’s products. We need an experienced and ambitious leader who can think architecturally, articulate a compelling long-term technical vision, execute on realistic yet ambitious plans, and grow our Engineering team in Bangalore, India.

Responsibilities:

Define and implement a technology vision for building new product features for Telematics
Manage the product and business outcomes of the full-stack engineering teams
Develop a long-term product roadmap in collaboration with product teams
Lead technical design discussions by collaborating with multiple teams, including other embedded teams, backend teams, front-end teams, product managers etc
Hire, manage, and develop a diverse team of distributed yet highly productive engineers. This includes providing technical guidance as well as effective coaching and career development

Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters in Engineering or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, working on distributed systems, data pipelines; some experience with Android development is required.
5+ years of experience managing 10+ engineers
Ability to drive end-to-end architectural designs of software systems, navigating complex product requirements and engineering constraints
Demonstrated success in hiring, managing, motivating, and promoting effective engineers
Proven track record as a nimble and proactive thinker and doer, who thrives in an environment that demands excellence
Passion for continuous experimentation and learning, coupled with a desire to make things run faster, and better
