Senior Software Engineer

So, what’s the role all about?

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Senior Software Engineer to contribute to our products in the Communication Surveillance domain. This engineer will be part of the Pune Communication Surveillance R&D team, taking ownership of complex modules and providing technical leadership within the team.

How will you make an impact?

• Proven experience in Java programming, with a deep understanding of data structures, threading, object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, functional programming, and memory optimization
• Own the design, development, and maintenance of web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Implement advanced software features according to architectural direction and technical design.
• Architect, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices to ensure robust and scalable system communication.
• Drive cloud deployment and application lifecycle management on AWS / Azure / GCP using cloud-native tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Plan, perform, and guide developer-level testing to ensure functionality aligns with design and quality standards.
• Support customers and internal stakeholders by diagnosing and resolving complex technical and performance issues.
• Ensure high-quality code delivery by enforcing unit testing, code quality, and best coding practices.
• Continuously optimize applications for performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to improving team technical capabilities.

  • Strong time management skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Write, test, and maintain clean, modular, testable code following industry best practices and architectural standards.
  • Ensure applications are built to modern security and scalability benchmarks.
  • Write reusable, efficient, and maintainable code and libraries across front-end and back-end.
  • Write automated tests ensuring appropriate functional and regression coverage.
  • Take part in code reviews (as reviewer and reviewee), driving engineering excellence.
  • Participate and contribute in team Scrum ceremonies.
  • Create and maintain required documentation.
  • Responsible for complex technical tasks and ownership of medium to high-complexity components.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 4–6 years work experience in the software industry, with strong hands-on development expertise.

Back-End Development:
• Strong programming experience in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.

Front-End Development:
• Hands-on expertise with React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript.

Cloud & DevOps:
• Solid experience with AWS / Azure / GCP, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Database Skills:
• Strong experience with SQL databases (MS SQL / PostgreSQL).
• xGood to have experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB / DynamoDB)

Other Skills:
• Proficient with Git and collaboration tools (GitHub/Bitbucket).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to design scalable, high-performance applications.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
