JOB TITLE: Director, Web Strategy & Optimization
REPORTS TO: Senior Director, Web Strategy and Governance
OBJECTIVE:
The Lead Associate of Web Strategy and Optimization will ensure our websites and digital experiences are “competitively fit” by combining user experience analysis, digital performance measurement, and optimization strategies. This role will help us better understand user behaviors, identify friction points, and act on opportunities to enhance engagement, conversion, and brand perception across our digital ecosystem. This role will lead the development and execution of strategies that ensure our websites and digital experiences deliver exceptional performance and user engagement. This role requires a seasoned leader with deep expertise in digital analytics, optimization, and user experience, combined with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Direction & Leadership
•Define and implement web optimization strategies that align with organizational objectives and enhance customer experience.
•Serve as a thought leader on digital best practices, emerging technologies, and optimization methodologies.
•Lead and mentor [digital team members], fostering a culture of innovation, continual improvement and accountability.
Performance Analysis & Optimization
•Leverage platforms like Google Analytics, FullStory, PowerBI, and other tools to identify friction points and opportunities.
•Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor engagement, conversion, and overall digital performance.
•Translate insights into actionable recommendations that improve user experience and business results.
•Manage onsite search improvements and content gap analysis to meet evolving user needs.
•Champion A/B testing, personalization, and SEO strategies to maximize visibility and engagement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
•Partner with Marketing and IT teams to ensure seamless execution of optimization initiatives.
•Influence cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize digital optimization, make data-driven decisions on customer experience, and adopt best practices across platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•10+ years of experience leading strategic digital initiatives, user experience, digital analytics and web optimization, including 8+ years in leadership roles.
•Experience in Agile and Scrum product development methodologies.
•Proven ability to collaborate and lead cross-functional teams
•Advanced proficiency in digital analytics, SEO, UX research, and optimization platforms and tools.
•Strong communication and influencing skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
•Preferred: 6+ years in the insurance and/or financial services industries.
