About this role

About the Team

Miro's Cloud Security team is a hybrid function, blending security and cloud engineering expertise. Embedded directly within our Cloud Engineering & Operations organization, we are at the core of Miro’s infrastructure to promote best practices and operate capabilities critical to our cloud security posture. We operate a range of security capabilities, including Cloud Identity, Web Application Firewall, Cloud Governance, Secrets Management, and CNAPP.

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer to join our Cloud Security team and help solve the complex challenge of securing a large-scale, rapidly growing cloud platform. In this role, you will be responsible for the security, reliability, and scalability of our core security capabilities. This is a unique opportunity to combine your passion for SRE with your expertise in cloud security to build automated, reliable, and secure solutions. You will be a hands-on engineer, designing and implementing security controls that enable development teams to move with speed while ensuring Miro's platform remains a safe and trusted environment for our global users. You will be instrumental in the ongoing transition to a unified cloud infrastructure platform, ensuring security is a first-class citizen in every stage of our cloud infrastructure lifecycle.

What you’ll do

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable security controls and solutions for our AWS/EKS platform using Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Automate the deployment and continuous delivery of our security capabilities, including WAF, Secrets Management, and Cloud Governance tooling.
  • Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of critical security services to minimize impact on development and production environments.
  • Act as a consultant and subject matter expert for infrastructure teams, enabling them to improve their security posture, with a strong focus on Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate on the on-call rotation to respond to and resolve cloud security incidents, minimizing risk and impact.
  • Continuously improve the observability of our security posture and proactively identify misconfigurations or vulnerabilities at scale

What you’ll need

  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes administration, security, and its ecosystem.
  • Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and managing security capabilities in an AWS cloud-native environment.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and building automated CI/CD pipelines (Github).
  • Deep understanding of AWS security services (IAM, WAF, Secrets Manager) and cloud networking fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in a high-level programming language (e.g., Python, Go).
  • Experience with Secrets Management solutions (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, ESO).
  • Privileged access management solutions experience is a significant advantage.
  • Solid background in an SRE, DevOps, or similar role with a focus on production reliability and operations.

What's in it for you

  • Competitive equity package
  • Medical insurance coverage
  • Lunch, snacks and drinks provided in the office
  • Wellbeing benefit and WFH equipment allowance
  • Annual learning and development allowance to grow your skills and career
  • Travel allowance for your commute
  • Opportunity to work for a globally diverse team
  • Inspiring workplace in the heart of Amsterdam
