Role Overview
The Content Specialist will own and grow the client’s YouTube channel through strategic content creation, editing, optimization, and cross-platform promotion. This role works directly under the Creative Director, executing an established content strategy while contributing creative ideas to improve performance and audience growth. The primary objective is to leverage YouTube content and its integration with CRM and social media to generate measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities
Edit and optimize video content using tools such as CapCut, Wondershare, Filmora, and Instagram Edits; Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve are a plus.
Design engaging thumbnails, banners, and video descriptions to maximize engagement and conversions.
Post and schedule content on YouTube in alignment with brand guidelines.
Develop and suggest video ideas, hooks, titles, and thumbnail concepts to drive viewership and subscriber growth.
Create short-form excerpts from long-form content for promotion on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
Monitor performance metrics and refine strategies to improve reach, engagement, and conversion rates.
Work closely with the Creative Director, who will review and approve all content prior to publication.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure content supports broader marketing and business goals.
Provide regular updates on channel performance and growth initiatives.
Apply YouTube analytics and best practices to support channel growth.
Create basic graphics for thumbnails and banners without the need for advanced motion graphics.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in YouTube content creation, editing, and channel growth.
Experience in the mortgage or financial services industry is a plus.
Strong video editing skills using the required tools.
Ability to create engaging, conversion-focused video content.
Fluent English communication skills with clear, understandable written and verbal communication.
Creative, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
What Success Looks Like
Consistent growth in YouTube subscribers, views, and engagement.
At least one loan or deal generated per month through YouTube and social media content.
High-quality, on-brand content published consistently and on schedule.
Clear, actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
