As a member of Global Network Operations Centre (GNOC) team, the Associate Network Analyst will perform shift work to detect, mitigate or notify and escalate network issues. They have the primary responsibility for managing and responding to Network, Hardware and external client and circuit events which may result in impaired connectivity to our clients and internal business. The position requires a basic understanding of how logical and physical connectivity issues can affect transaction quality of Visa Clients. You will be able to explore many latest technologies that support the Visa Operations, such as SD-WAN, Cloud, and various Payment products/services.
Essential Functions:
Please note that this position requires working in alternating shifts – 3 days a week (Wed-Fri) / 5 days a week (Mon-Wed + Sat-Sun) from 08:00 to 18:00 Polish time. Shift days fall on weekend every other week, also some shift days may fall on public holidays. There are 3 work-from-home days per month.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree at minimum.
Good common sense and analytical mindset, good time management and attention to details when documenting incident handling progress.
Basic understanding of routers/switches/firewalls/load balancers/cloud technology.
Basic knowledge of Cisco and Juniper Networks devices with hands-on experience of logging in to those devices.
Basic knowledge of ServiceNow or other incident and change management system.
Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational skills, ability to prioritize a constantly changing workload.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred: Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA, AWS, ITIL certification.
Desirable: Any experience of network automation, especially Python / Ansible based.
Desirable: Previous experience in Network Operations.
