The VCA team within Japan provides a comprehensive range of consulting services and solutions to our clients in Japan, that address unique challenges in areas such as strategic growth, profitability, risk management and digital strategy.
VCA Dedicated Team members play a key role in enhancing the partnership with one of Visa Japan’s largest clients by supporting strategic planning and implementation of their most strategic initiatives.
What a Manager, VCA Dedicated Team does at Visa:
We are currently looking for a Manager to drive consulting engagements and Visa solution sell-in for one of our largest clients in Japan, contributing to strategy and new business development in their issuing business. The Manager will manage consulting projects or workstreams, drive Visa solutions sell-in, and act as a key point of contact for their issuing business, working closely with client teams, her/his manager, and internal local/global stakeholders as needed.

Basic Qualifications
You will bring solid professional experience and a strong curiosity about the payments industry, eager to deepen your expertise by working with an experienced team. You are client-focused, comfortable managing projects or workstreams from planning through execution, and enjoy collaborating closely with clients to support their business goals.
Specific skills and experience required:
Fluent Japanese and business-level proficiency in English
7+ years of relevant experience in strategy consulting, product management, or project management
Demonstrated experience managing or supporting complex, cross-functional projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and intellectual rigor
Effective team player with a collaborative, diplomatic, and adaptable approach: able to work well in a matrixed organization
High standard for quality in reports and data analysis
Strong oral and written communication skills, including clear and professional presentations
Self-motivated and results-driven: able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Flexible mindset with resilience: able to adapt to changing circumstances and client needs
Commercial awareness, with experience supporting business case development and understanding of project ROI
Interest in analytics and its role in informing strategy and business decisions: able to generate actionable insights from data
Willingness to consult with and report to senior team members to ensure alignment and quality outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the payments, banking, or technology sectors: understanding of the issuing business is a plus
Experience supporting customer experience design, especially using human-centered design or design thinking approaches
Familiarity with statistical analysis, modeling, or scoring methods
