About this role

As a Payment Platform Strategy Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping initiatives that modernize Visa’s payment platforms and enhance flexibility, scalability, and intelligence across our core systems. This is an opportunity for a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and exceptional communication abilities to contribute to projects that influence Visa’s roadmap. You will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, risk, and client teams to support modernization efforts and deliver insights that drive business impact.

 

Essential Functions

  • Support the development of strategies for modernizing Visa’s authorization, clearing and settlement capabilities.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to embed advanced capabilities like intelligent payment blocking, enriched data validation, and real-time clearing/settlement into payment flows.
  • Define business requirements for emerging capability areas such as AI-driven decisioning, enhanced client configuration and streaming data exchanges.
  • Partner with technology teams to ensure business requirements are translated into end-to-end solutions and delivered successfully.
  • Collaborate with technology, risk, and product teams to align initiatives with client needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare clear, compelling presentations and narratives for diverse audiences, including senior stakeholders.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects, bringing creative and strategic thinking to problem-solving.
  • Conduct research on global payment trends and distill insights into actionable recommendations.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. 

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • 2-3 years product management or corporate strategy experience
  • Familiarity with payment systems (card networks, ACH, real-time payments) and interest in learning VisaNet capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills; ability to turn insights into business recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to simplify complex concepts and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business narratives.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity across cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in fast-changing environments.
  • Consulting mindset with strategic thinking and problem-framing skills.
  • Collaborative and creative approach to cross-functional work.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 123,000.00 to 173,950.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
