Team Summary

Reporting to the VP, Payment Ecosystem Risk, the Risk Operations team is responsible for:

• Ensuring robust operational execution of the Visa Risk programs focused on direct and indirect Visa clients ensuring the integrity and security of Visa’s payment ecosystem whilst supporting business growth.
• Partnering with the Payment Ecosystem Risk – Insights & Control team to ensure holistic investigation and enforcement of the programs.
• Driving strategic initiatives and continuous improvement across risk operations.

As Senior Manager in the Payment Ecosystem Risk Program Operations team, you will take a leading role in executing the enforcement of Visa risk programs in alignment with the strategic direction and compliance of the programs. These programs include:

• Visa Integrity Risk program (VIRP), a framework and set of requirements to deter, detect, and remediate illegal activity from the Visa Payment System, and to manage high-risk acquiring activities. 
• Visa Acquirer Risk program (VAMP), a monitoring program to reduce fraud and enumeration attacks across the global payments ecosystem by helping acquirers improve their risk controls.
• Visa Issuer Monitoring Program (VIMP), a program designed to maintain desirable fraud and dispute levels for issuers.
• Fraud Reporting and Control Program (FRECOP), a program to ensure holistic reporting of fraud across products and channels.
• Third Party Registration Program (TPA) enhances visibility in the payment ecosystem and ensure clients conduct robust due diligence of their agents.
• Account Information Security Program (AIS) safeguards cardholder data in compliance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards.

As a senior member of the Risk Program Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in establishing efficient operations, procedures and processes, and providing advice to optimize and enhance programs.

Own End to End Program Operations

• Oversee and execute program operations balancing program compliance and client needs
• Lead complex investigations and escalations with internal and external clients
• Manage financial operations to ensure financial and operational integrity

Manage Stakeholders

• Serve as a trusted advisor and thought leader in risk operations
• Representing the team internally and externally, influencing decision-making at senior levels

Drive Outcomes

• Shape strategic initiatives to enhance Visa’s risk management capabilities supporting business growth
• Drive process and program improvements using a data driven approach

What you will need:  

We’re looking for an accomplished professional who is passionate about payments, detail-oriented, results-driven, and dedicated to delivering outstanding client outcomes.

Experience & Technical Skills

• 10+ years of experience in managing program operations, or risk management
• Extensive hands-on experience in leveraging automation and AI tools to improve processes (e.g., M365 Copilot, Power Automate)

Execution & Delivery

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong ownership mindset and attention to detail to drive optimal outcomes for Visa and clients

Stakeholder Management & Strategic Thinking

• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels, internally and externally
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to inspire and influence at all levels.
