What will you do as a Full Stack Software Engineer?
As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will ensure that our software services and applications on our cloud platforms (primarily AWS) are maintained and built. This involves working on both the front-end (React/TypeScript) and the back-end (Python), ensuring our systems are reliable, scalable, and maintainable. In close collaboration with data scientists, product owners, and other engineers, you will build and deploy various solutions, ensuring they are production ready. The development process is supported by our in-house development libraries and a streamlined CI/CD pipeline. A core part of your responsibility will be to translate complex business questions into concrete technical solutions to develop and maintain innovative products.
Your key responsibilities:
- Product Development: You will develop, validate, and maintain both the front-end (React, TypeScript) and the back-end (Python) of our applications. You will be able to independently analyze and resolve complex technical issues and proactively propose new solutions and improvements.
- Platform Professionalization: You will design and implement robust solutions for logging, monitoring, and alerting to guarantee the stability and performance of the platform.
- DevOps & CI/CD: You will build and manage automated deployment pipelines with tools like GitHub Workflows, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Cloud Infrastructure: You will work extensively with cloud platforms (primarily AWS) and manage services such as relational databases (RDS) and serverless functions (Lambda).
- Collaboration & Innovation: You will work closely with data scientists, product owners, and other engineers. You are capable of resolving issues independently and ensuring proper implementation in collaboration with your colleagues.
Your profile:
- You have a university-level (WO) work and thinking ability, with a degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- You have at least 3 years of work experience in a similar role as a Full Stack Software Engineer.
- Expertise in front-end development with React and TypeScript.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Extensive experience with relational databases (such as PostgreSQL via AWS RDS).
- Demonstrable experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- You have experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and version control in GitHub (e.g., Workflows).
- You are highly proficient in working with cloud platforms, with a strong preference for AWS. Experience with AWS Lambda is a nice-to-have.
- Analytical & Independent: You can quickly understand a problem, independently propose solutions, and communicate them clearly to your team.
