About the Role

ZetaChain is at the forefront of building the first fully interoperable and private AI platform. We're looking for an experienced and passionate Product Engineer to spearhead the development of innovative AI applications powered by our AI interoperability layer.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on building new user-facing products from scratch, enjoys the fast pace of a startup, and wants to be on the bleeding edge of AI technology. This role will play a pivotal role in shaping our product engineering culture, mentoring other developers, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with cross-chain dApps.

Blockchain experience isn't required if you have a proven track record of building successful products.

What You'll Do

• Build privacy focused AI applications
• Integrate LLM into consumer apps that improve the UX
• Solve hard technical problems, from user onboarding to high-throughput systems
• Contribute to open-source projects and shape best practices in a rapidly evolving space
• Architect, plan, and execute projects, from initial concept to launch, by breaking down high-level goals into well-defined tasks and tickets for the team
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for the team, collaborating with product and design to clarify requirements and manage technical risks

Minimum Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, with some team or project leadership experience.
• Strong full-stack background, with a focus on building consumer products
• Proven track record shipping production-grade applications, ideally in AI, Web3, or fintech
• Experience with breaking down complex projects and guiding a team to successfully deliver them

• Background at both fast-moving startups and more structured organizations
• History of launching products from 0 → 1
• Experience building applications at scale (millions of users)

Our Tech Stack

We’re a polyglot team and value engineers who can navigate across boundaries. You are not expected to be an expert in every area and you’ll be working closely with our Protocol Engineering and SRE teams but it helps to understand the tools we use. Our core stack includes:

• Frontend: TypeScript, Next.js, Redux Toolkit, GraphQL
• Backend / Infra: Node, Go, Docker, Kubernetes, CloudFlare

In-Office Culture

We believe that collaboration is supercharged when we share space together. Many members of our team work hybrid from our San Francisco office, and we aim for 2 to 3 in-office days per week. We know life happens, whether it’s travel, appointments, or family needs and we’re flexible when the schedule needs to shift. But generally, we value showing up, building together, and keeping the energy high. The company is a mix of remote and local team members.

Compensation

Base Salary: $170,000 – $220,000
This range reflects base salaries for roles in the San Francisco market. For candidates in other locations, compensation is adjusted to remain competitive within their local market.

In addition to the base salary, all full-time team members receive an additional 10% to 25% in liquid benefits with upside based on role, experience, and impact. We believe in building together and sharing in the long-term success of the network. Compensation packages are designed to be competitive and aligned with the growth of both the team and the ecosystem.
