Hi, we’re AMBOSS and we’re searching for a Senior SEO & GEO Specialist to join our Marketing team!
AMBOSS is the copilot for medical professionals, empowering them to provide the best possible care through our learning and clinical decision support tool. Our founders launched AMBOSS in 2012 with the goal of creating a tool they wished they had during medical school and clinical practice. As a Senior SEO/GEO Specialist at AMBOSS, you’ll directly shape how medical professionals around the world discover and engage with our product. Your work will have a measurable impact on acquisition and growth across multiple international markets—at scale and with real purpose.
This role offers a rare opportunity to define and elevate how SEO and GEO are approached at AMBOSS. With our current efforts at a foundational stage, you’ll have the ownership, visibility, and support to build advanced, future-proof strategies that span traditional search and AI-driven discovery.
You’ll collaborate closely with market leads, local marketing managers, and product managers, combining deep market insights with data-driven experimentation. Backed by strong tools and the freedom to test, iterate, and learn, you’ll influence the full funnel: from discovery to conversion and see your impact reflected in real user behavior.
If you’re passionate about owning initiatives end to end, experimenting with emerging search paradigms, and creating meaningful growth for a product that supports healthcare professionals worldwide, this role offers both strategic influence and real-world impact.
Develop and execute SEO strategies to increase organic traffic, rankings, and conversions
Optimize content for traditional search (SEO) and generative engines (GEO) such as AI search and LLM-based discovery
Conduct keyword, intent, and topic research for multiple regions and languages
Implement on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices (using CMS)
Optimize site architecture, internal linking, schema markup, and metadata
Collaborate with local marketing team,, product, and engineering teams to ensure SEO best practices are embedded from ideation to launch
Monitor performance using analytics and SEO tools, and report on insights and opportunities
Stay up to date with search engine algorithm updates and emerging AI search trends
Proven experience in SEO, content optimization, or search growth roles (4+ years)
Strong understanding and operational excellence of on-page, technical, and off-page SEO
Familiarity with GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) principles and AI-driven search behavior
Experience with SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog)
Ability to translate data into clear recommendations and actions
Experience optimizing content for international and multilingual markets
Knowledge of structured data, schema, and content indexing for LLMs
Operational proficiency with CMS tools
Background in content strategy or editorial SEO
You think analytically and strategically, and enjoy turning data into clear, actionable insights
You like to own problems end to end, from analysis and strategy to execution and optimization
You enjoy working independently, while also collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders
You’re comfortable aligning and influencing people without direct authority
You stay calm in ambiguity and enjoy building structure where none exists yet
You like diving deep into how users search, discover, and make decisions—both in traditional search engines and AI-driven experiences
You’re detail-oriented but able to zoom out and think big-picture
You’re motivated by measurable impact and seeing your work directly influence growth and conversion
