Responsibilities:
- Monthly coding of client Xero files
- Preparing business GST/BAS
- Preparing IAS for Australian clients ONLY
- Preparing financial statements and tax returns
- Preparing work papers before submitting for review
- Preparation of Xero and other management reports
- Assistance with Ad hoc value-added projects
- Assistance with in-house projects when required
- Managing of personal workflow
- Pro-actively assist the Seniors/Managers/Directors with various other ad hoc duties.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in accounting essential
- At least 2 or more years of similar experience in NZ/AU Chartered Accounting experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of accounting and taxation concepts essential
- Experience with Xero is helpful but not essential
- Proficient in Excel
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience.
- Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally.
- Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.
- Time management/organization: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner.
