While we support flexible, remote-friendly ways of working, for this role we’re focusing on Seoul so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing.
This role is a 12-month engagement, working 40 hours per week.
What you’d be doing in this role
The Logged Out Experience group keeps growing globally (~150 people globally!). Keyword researchers, Tech SEO specialists, SEO content specialists, Copywriters, Engineers, Data analysts, Designers, Operations specialists – we’ve got it all covered, and in many regions of the world.
We’re looking for a passionate Content Editor/Specialist to join and help us scale our next phase of growth in South Korea. Being supported by our global SEO team, you will expand the foundations of SEO content strategy in South Korea, from localising our global website for South-Korean audiences to creating engaging content on Naver properties (Naver Blog, Cafe, Influencers, etc).
What you’ll do (responsibilities);
- You will take full ownership of Canva’s Naver Blog as a core organic content channel, with end-to-end responsibility for editorial quality, consistency, and performance.
- You will build and maintain a strategically driven editorial calendar informed by keyword research, audience intent, and Naver platform dynamics, with the goal of improving visibility and rankings on Naver.
- You will conduct and apply Korean keyword research in collaboration with the South Korea SEO Lead to guide content prioritisation and topic selection.
- You will identify high-impact content opportunities across Naver by combining search demand, cultural trends, and editorial judgment.
- You will plan, write, edit, and publish high-quality Korean-language content that is optimised for Naver discovery while remaining genuinely valuable for users.
- You will expand Canva’s organic content presence beyond the Naver Blog by activating and adapting content for other relevant Naver content surfaces.
- You will coordinate contributing editors or freelancers by providing clear briefs, keyword context, and editorial feedback.
- You will act as the final editorial reviewer for Naver content, ensuring accuracy, structure, tone, and alignment with brand and platform best practices.
- You will actively manage and engage with comments and community interactions to strengthen credibility and user trust.
- You will track content performance and visibility, using insights to continuously refine editorial strategy and planning.
- You will be comfortable using AI tools to support drafting, research, analysis, and workflow efficiency, with a curiosity to understand how these tools work and a willingness to learn new software.
- You will work closely with the Canva Korea Marketing team to ensure editorial strategy and execution support Canva Korea’s broader marketing and business objectives.

What we're looking for
- A native-Korean speaker with business-level English.
- Proven experience as an Editor or Content Strategist, supported by a portfolio or work samples that demonstrate hands-on experience in content writing, editing, and managing owned content channels.
- Excellent Korean writing and editing skills, with a strong understanding of local tone, structure, and reader expectations.
- Experience coordinating and reviewing the work of freelancers, editors, or contributing editors, including providing clear briefs, editorial feedback, and taking responsibility for content quality control.
- Hands-on experience running or owning a Naver Blog or a similar owned content channel.
- Deep understanding of Naver’s content formats and preferences, including headings, structure, readability, and narrative flow.
- Strong awareness of Korean cultural, social, and digital trends, and the ability to translate them into compelling content ideas.
- Experience with editorial calendar planning and management based on keyword research, audience intent, and Naver platform insights.
- Ability to balance creative judgment with performance considerations.
- High attention to detail and comfort working within established processes and guidelines.
- Proven experience in collaborating with influencers, creators, or external partners to enhance content reach and foster audience growth.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting or organising events, campaigns, or community initiatives aimed at increasing audience engagement and strengthening brand presence.
- Experience with other Naver content surfaces such as Naver Café, Naver Knowledge iN, or Naver video formats (e.g. Clip, TV) is a strong plus.
Nice to have’s
- Experience with SEO fundamentals, particularly content-led SEO and how it supports organic discovery.
- Experience collaborating with SEO teams on keyword research, on-page optimisation, or search-driven content initiatives.
- Experience analysing content performance using analytics tools to understand user behaviour, engagement, and visibility.
- Experience with content promotion and distribution across digital platforms to extend reach and discovery.
- Experience contributing to brand mentions or coverage through digital publications, online media, or industry platforms.
- A passion for creativity and design is a definite plus!

About the team
Working closely with our South Korea SEO lead, our Naver Content Specialist and our Outreach Specialist, you will be responsible for creating engaging and converting content on our Naver blog and on our website. You'll have access to a range of the best enterprise-level third-party tools, as well as several platforms and products we have built in-house that help us to world-class SEO.
Your role will involve executing a content strategy for South Korea, based on SEO and competitor research. You will also be able to draw inspiration from past successes of Canva’s global Content Strategy, but we count on your deep local knowledge to reach South Korean users in ways that we may not have explored before, particularly on Naver.
