Founded in 2018, Causaly’s AI platform for enterprise-scale scientific research redefines the limits of human productivity. We give humans a powerful new way to find, visualize and interpret biomedical knowledge and automate critical research workflows, accelerating solutions for some of the greatest health challenges we face.
We work with some of the world's largest biopharma companies and institutions on use cases spanning Drug Discovery, Safety and Competitive Intelligence. You can read more about how we accelerate knowledge acquisition and improve decision making in our blog posts here: Blog - Causaly
We are backed by top VCs including ICONIQ, Index Ventures, Pentech and Marathon.
About the role:
Private Data is the next major chapter of Causaly’s product.
Causaly already helps the world’s leading biopharma organisations extract insight from
vast public biomedical knowledge. The next wave of value comes from combining that
intelligence with customers’ proprietary data, securely, intelligently, and at enterprise
scale.
By bringing together knowledge graphs, agentic AI, and private scientific data, we
enable customers to move beyond surface-level discovery — uncovering connections,
risks, and opportunities that would otherwise remain hidden. This unlocks a new class of
insight for R&D leaders, helping them make faster, more confident decisions in areas
where evidence is fragmented and the stakes are high.
This is one of the most strategic initiatives in Product at Causaly. The Product Lead for
Private Data will shape how this vision becomes reality — defining the product direction
and leading the creation of a category-defining capability at the heart of our platform.
As Product Lead for Private Data, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of a
new class of enterprise data product that enables customers to safely bring their most
valuable proprietary data into Causaly.
This role sits at the intersection of AI, data platforms, enterprise deployment, and
customer workflows. It requires a product leader who can think holistically, partner
deeply with engineers and data scientists, and work directly with customers to design
solutions that scale from early use cases to organisation-wide adoption.
Private Data is already in motion, and speed is essential. You will be expected to move
fast, make decisions with imperfect information, and drive execution from day one —
cutting through ambiguity to put real product into customers’ hands quickly, then
iterating based on learning and impact.
This is a demanding role, suited to someone who is energised by complexity, ownership,
and momentum.
What you’ll do:
You will lead Private Data from vision to reality, with end-to-end ownership. Specifically,
you will:
Define and evolve the long-term vision and product strategy for Private Data,
translating customer needs and company goals into a clear, compelling roadmap
Drive rapid execution across discovery, prototyping, and delivery — prioritising
learning and customer value over perfection
Break down ambiguous problem spaces into clear, actionable plans, milestones,
and trade-offs
Partner closely with engineering and data science to shape technically sound,
scalable solutions
Lead fast cycles of prototyping, validation, and iteration with early customers
Work directly with enterprise customers to design use cases, rollout strategies, and
adoption models that unlock real scientific and commercial value
Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, R&D, GTM, and Customer Success to
ensure what we build is viable, usable, and impactful
Act as a key product voice internally and externally, communicating direction,
progress, and trade-offs to executives, customers, and the wider organisation
Serve as a force-multiplier for the team — unblocking decisions, maintaining
momentum, and raising the bar for execution
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for a senior product leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on
execution, and who thrives in fast-moving, technically complex enterprise environments.
You will bring:
A proven track record of building and launching enterprise B2B SaaS products,
ideally in data-rich or technically complex domains
Experience working on data-driven or AI-enabled products, with the technical
fluency to partner deeply with engineers and data scientists
Demonstrated ability to lead products through high-ambiguity, high-urgency
phases, setting direction and driving delivery without waiting for perfect
information
Strong execution instincts, with experience rapidly prototyping, iterating, and
learning from real customer usage
Comfort making pragmatic trade-offs to deliver value quickly, while maintaining a
clear long-term product direction
A data-informed mindset, using research, metrics, and judgment to guide decisions
Excellent communication skills, with credibility across technical teams, customers,
and senior commercial and executive stakeholders
This role is best suited to someone who enjoys operating at pace and is motivated by
turning ambiguity into forward momentum.
What we’d love to see:
Experience taking products from 0 to 1 , especially where customer or proprietary
data plays a central role
Exposure to regulated or security-sensitive environments (e.g. healthcare, life
sciences, finance), though deep domain expertise is not required
Strong curiosity, learning mindset, and appetite for tackling complex problems
Interest in coaching and supporting the growth of other product managers
