iFIT’s vision is to create the world's most holistic health and fitness platform, integrating all elements of health - physical fitness, mental health, nutrition and active recovery - into a seamless interactive experience. We develop proprietary software that learns and adjusts to the habits of each person as it delivers immersive content that guides them on their own individual fitness journey.
At iFIT, we are creating the world's most holistic health and fitness platform. We integrate physical fitness, mental health, nutrition, and active recovery into a seamless, interactive experience. Our proprietary software learns from and adapts to each member, delivering immersive content that guides them on a truly personalized fitness journey. To do this, we need data to be the engine that powers this personalization and our business strategy.
We are not looking for a traditional analytics engineer who just builds pipelines from a backlog. We are looking for a Forward-Deployed Analytics Engineer to act as the full-stack data partner for a key business domain (e.g., Product, Marketing, or Finance).
Your mission is to embed within that team, deeply understand their challenges and opportunities, and build the end-to-end data products that give them a competitive edge. You will be a true owner, moving beyond just transforming data to building the semantic models, BI experiences, and automated insights that drive decisions. Crucially, you will have an AI-first mindset, relentlessly seeking to leverage generative AI, code assistants, and automated tooling to accelerate development, ensure impeccable data quality, and scale our self-service capabilities.
This ambitious pace-setter will join our team as an Analytics Engineer that will act as the bridge between data engineering and data analysis, ensuring that raw data is transformed into clean, reliable, and accessible datasets that fuel business insights. This role is responsible for building and maintaining robust data models, optimizing data pipelines, and enabling analysts and business teams with trusted, well-documented data.
What You'll Achieve
⦁ Become a Strategic Data Partner: Serve as the primary data expert and consultant for your embedded business domain. You won't just take requirements; you will anticipate needs and proactively propose data solutions to strategic business problems.
⦁ Deliver Full-Stack Data Products: Own the entire analytics development lifecycle, from raw data ingestion and modeling in our data warehouse to the final semantic layer and dashboards that our business teams use every day.
⦁ Champion AI-Augmented Development: Radically accelerate your workflow by leveraging generative AI and code assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, dbt's Semantic Layer) for code generation, automated documentation, and advanced data quality testing.
⦁ Build a Foundation of Trust: Architect and implement robust, scalable, and highly performant data models using dbt and Snowflake, creating a single source of truth that the entire company can rely on.
⦁ Empower the Enterprise: Drive the adoption of self-service analytics by building intuitive, well-documented datasets and BI tools (Tableau, Sigma, Looker), enabling stakeholders to answer their own questions with confidence and speed.
Core Responsibilities
⦁ Collaborate intimately with product managers, marketers, and other stakeholders to translate ambiguous business questions into concrete data requirements and technical specifications.
⦁ Design, build, and own sophisticated data models on Snowflake using dbt, following software engineering best practices (version control, CI/CD, testing).
⦁ Develop and automate AI-powered data quality checks, anomaly detection, and observability to ensure the highest level of data integrity and trust.
⦁ Optimize our data stack for performance and cost-efficiency, ensuring our queries are fast and our infrastructure is scalable.
⦁ Build and refine our semantic layer in Snowflake Intelligence, dbt, or BI tools, making data intuitive and accessible for non-technical users.
⦁ Act as a force multiplier by mentoring analysts and business users, teaching them how to leverage the data products you build.
⦁ Stay on the bleeding edge of the modern data stack and AI in data, constantly experimenting with and recommending new tools and methodologies to improve our capabilities.
Who You Are
⦁ An Owner: You possess a strong sense of ownership and are driven to see your projects deliver tangible business value from conception to completion.
⦁ A Pragmatic Builder: You have 4+ years of hands-on experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a similar role, with a strong portfolio of building data models and pipelines in a cloud environment.
⦁ Fluent in Modern Data Tooling:
⦁ Expert-level SQL and deep experience with data modeling concepts (e.g., star/snowflake schemas, Kimball methodologies).
⦁ Production experience with dbt is a must.
⦁ Hands-on expertise with a cloud data warehouse like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
⦁ Proficiency with Git and CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions).
⦁ AI Enthusiast & Early Adopter: You have demonstrable experience or a palpable passion for using AI tools in your development workflow. You actively seek ways to automate and amplify your impact with intelligent systems.
⦁ A Gifted Translator: You have exceptional communication skills and can effectively bridge the gap between complex technical concepts and business outcomes for non-technical audiences.
⦁ Business-Obsessed: You are motivated by solving business problems, not just by technology. You are naturally curious and constantly ask "why" to get to the root of the problem.
Preferred Qualifications
⦁ Experience developing in a BI semantic layer (e.g., LookML, Power BI DAX).
⦁ Familiarity with Python for data analysis and orchestration (e.g., Airflow, Dagster).
⦁ Practical experience using LLMs or generative AI tools for code generation, documentation, or data quality.
⦁ Knowledge of data observability and cataloging platforms.
ROLE COMMITMENTS (align these goals with your team and the company’s goals)
⦁ Optimize the enterprise: Deliver single source of truth data to empower fact based decisions
⦁ Deliver high-quality consumer experiences: Enable self serve BI coverage and compelling interfaces to serve our internal stakeholders
⦁ Build the most compelling connected health & fitness platform: Enable fact based decisions across Product Analytics, Customer Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Operational Analytics
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

⦁ Implement and maintain data quality frameworks, monitoring systems, and governance practices.
⦁ Optimize SQL queries and data transformations for performance and cost efficiency.
⦁ Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
⦁ Document data models, definitions, and transformation logic to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing.
