Head of People & Culture (Sr. Director)

Momentum is seeking a strategic, people-first, and forward-thinking Head of People & Culture to lead HR strategy and execution for our growing team of ~120 corporate employees. In this high-impact, global role, you will serve as the primary business partner to leaders across our Finance, Legal, IT, Accounting, Corporate Development, and Workplace Experience teams—delivering HR leadership that scales with our business and strengthens our people experience. Enabling our corporate teams to thrive and perform at their best accelerates growth across the full Momentum portfolio of companies.

This role reports directly to the SVP, Head of Talent at Momentum and will operate as both a trusted advisor and a builder, shaping culture, championing people strategies, and driving programs that align with our mission, values, and growth goals. While this role is rooted in deep HR business partnership, it also offers the opportunity to originate, design, and launch new initiatives that foster engagement, elevate performance, and reinforce Momentum as an employer of choice.

This position supports a global employee base—primarily in the U.S., with growing teams in the UK and Costa Rica—and will manage two HR Generalists, with the opportunity to scale the team over time. You will also collaborate closely with People & Culture leaders across our portfolio companies, serving as a connective thread in advancing people priorities across the Momentum ecosystem.

The role is based in Dallas, TX, working from our headquarters at The Link (2601 Olive Street) on a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite).

What You’ll Do

Strategic Business Partnership

• Serve as the primary HRBP for all corporate Momentum functions, supporting ~120 employees across Finance, Legal, IT, Accounting, Corporate Development, and Workplace.
• Report directly to the SVP, Head of Talent, acting as a strategic advisor to senior executives and leadership teams.
• Partner with leaders to align people strategies with business priorities, offering insight, counsel, and hands-on support across all areas of HR.
• Operate as a thought partner and culture champion, helping to shape organizational design, team effectiveness, and leadership development initiatives.

Program Design & Enablement

• Design and lead people initiatives and frameworks tailored to Momentum’s unique stage of growth—examples may include career pathing, recognition programs, feedback cycles, and onboarding.
• Collaborate with the broader People & Culture community across the portfolio to co-create programs, align best practices, and scale shared solutions across the companies.
• Help define and implement internal communication and engagement strategies to strengthen connectivity across our global and hybrid workforce.

Talent Development & Performance

• Enable leaders and managers to be great people leaders through training, coaching, and performance enablement tools.
• Support the rollout and continuous improvement of performance management and goal-setting processes, ensuring a culture of accountability and growth.
• Champion talent planning and development initiatives to help teams and individuals achieve their highest potential.

Employee Experience & Operations

• Lead global employee relations with a high standard of confidentiality, empathy, and compliance, partnering with legal as needed.
• Oversee the day-to-day HR operations in partnership with an HR Generalist, ensuring seamless execution of key moments—from onboarding to exits.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR best practices across the U.S., U.K., and Costa Rica, adapting approaches to local context while maintaining global consistency.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Manage, mentor, and develop two HR Generalists, fostering growth and impact.
• Serve as the connective tissue across internal and external stakeholders, partnering with executive leadership, legal, finance, and portfolio company HR leaders.

What You Bring

Required Experience & Skills

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years as a senior HRBP or equivalent supporting corporate or shared services teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and executive communication skills; able to build trust, influence decisions, and advise leaders with confidence and empathy.
• Self-starter with proven ability to work hands-on and strategically in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated success designing and launching people programs and initiatives in high-growth, values-driven environments.
• Experience supporting global teams and navigating cross-cultural nuances, ideally including exposure to U.K. and Latin American labor regulations.
• Strong understanding of HR compliance and employee relations best practices across the U.S. and international contexts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a holding company, professional services, or technology environment.
• Familiarity with Workday (HRM)
• Coaching certification or training in leadership development methodologies (e.g., DISC, Hogan, 360s) is a plus.
• Spanish language proficiency is a bonus, though not required.
