Location requirements
We're building the intelligent AI manager that transforms how home healthcare operates. Think of us as the nervous system for home care agencies—coordinating caregivers, managing schedules, and ensuring vulnerable populations get reliable, compassionate care around the clock.
Our multi-agent platform doesn't just digitize existing processes; it creates an entirely new category of AI-powered healthcare operations. We're already helping agencies serve thousands of seniors aging at home, with technology that makes care more consistent, proactive, and human-centered.
Transform Healthcare Operations While People Sleep
Imagine if every after-hours call to a home care agency—emergency schedule changes, caregiver call-offs, urgent client needs—could be handled instantly, accurately, and compassionately, 24/7. We've built the foundation with a live prototype that's already delighting customers. Now we need a founding engineer to help us perfect the first truly autonomous after-hours operations system for healthcare.
This isn't about replacing human judgment—it's about augmenting human capability. You'll build AI that handles routine operations flawlessly while knowing exactly when to escalate to humans, ensuring vulnerable populations get the care they need around the clock.
This is a product-driven founding engineering role where you'll work directly with customers, see immediate impact from your code, and own the technical decisions that make life-or-death automation trustworthy at scale.
Build the After-Hours Brain for Healthcare
Own the complete autonomous operations pipeline—from voice interactions to workflow execution to human escalation—ensuring no critical call goes unanswered
Design and implement the intelligence that determines when AI can handle situations independently versus when human expertise is required
Create AI That Operators Trust
Build the tools and integrations that power our voice agents—workflow execution engines, structured data capture, and seamless handoffs to existing systems
Develop monitoring, review, and audit systems that give human operators complete confidence in AI-driven decisions
Perfect Through Real-World Feedback
Create continuous improvement pipelines that learn from every call—automated testing, evaluation frameworks, and rapid iteration cycles
Work directly with operations teams to translate messy real-world scenarios into reliable, safety-first automation
Ship Features That Scale Instantly
Build full-stack solutions that work from day one—from backend orchestration to operator dashboards to customer-facing experiences
Partner with stakeholders to define automation boundaries and translate operational requirements into bulletproof product features
Ships Fast & Iterates Fearlessly
Has strong product intuition and believes the best way to build great products is to get them in users' hands quickly, then improve based on real feedback
Gets energized by direct customer interaction and seeing immediate impact from code changes
Loves Building AI That Actually Works
Is passionate about conversational AI and has hands-on experience building agents that solve real operational problems (not just demos or prototypes)
Uses AI-native development tools to move faster while maintaining production-quality standards
Takes Ownership & Drives Results
Naturally takes full ownership of projects and communicates proactively to keep things moving
Thrives in fast-paced environments where priorities can shift based on customer needs and market feedback
Thinks in Systems & Workflows
Understands that great automation isn't just about the AI—it's about the entire ecosystem of tools, processes, and human oversight that makes it trustworthy
Can work across the full stack to ship cohesive products that solve end-to-end problems
Core Experience That Sets You Up for Success:
3-5 years in startup environments where you've learned to balance speed with reliability
Production conversational AI experience — you've shipped and operated call automation or voice agent systems that real users depend on
LLM production expertise — deep understanding of tool use, structured outputs, evaluation frameworks, and safety guardrails
Operations tooling background — you've built internal tools, QA workflows, escalation systems, or audit-friendly interfaces
Technical Versatility:
Full-stack comfort across backend systems, LLM workflows, and user-facing applications
Operations translation skills — experience working with ops teams to convert chaotic real-world processes into reliable software
Location & Collaboration:
San Francisco-based and excited about in-person collaboration (minimum 3 days/week) for tight feedback loops and rapid problem-solving
Impact That Saves Lives Unlike most AI startups building chatbots or productivity tools, you'll be ensuring vulnerable populations get critical healthcare support 24/7. Your automation will literally help save lives and improve care outcomes.
Perfect Timing for Maximum Growth We've proven the concept and have strong customer pull—now we need to scale. You'll get 5 years of startup experience in 2 years, with direct access to founders and outsized influence on every technical decision.
Work With Healthcare AI Pioneers Our founders have scaled companies through hypergrowth and understand both the technical challenges and regulatory requirements of healthcare automation. You'll learn from operators who've done this before.
Solve Unprecedented Technical Challenges We're building the first truly autonomous after-hours operations system for healthcare—problems that haven't been solved before, using the latest AI capabilities in a mission-critical environment.
Upside That Reflects Your Foundational Role As one of our first engineers, your equity reflects the transformational impact you'll have. We're growing fast (20x ARR in 6 months) with clear momentum toward our next funding milestones.
Ground Floor of Healthcare Transformation Home healthcare is a $146B market still running on phone calls and paper. We're not just digitizing existing processes—we're creating an entirely new category of AI-powered healthcare operations.
We believe that people demonstrate their talent in various ways and we want to be flexible in what works best for you. We also encourage using AI tools to reflect how you actually work and use real world examples instead of leetcode style questions.
After an initial background screening to determine culture fit, we will work together to determine what’s the best next step for you to demonstrate your technical skills. It can be multi-day paid work trial, single-day AI assisted in-person mini project, past project walkthrough, etc. If you have your preferred method of showing off your skills as a talented engineer, we’d love to hear about those too!
