Fully Remote | 9 AM – 5 PM US Central Time (CST)
The Senior Cloud & Data Platform Architect will lead the design, architecture, and implementation of the organization’s data infrastructure. This role is responsible for owning the end-to-end data platform, integrating marketing, systems, and behavioral data to enable real-time analytics, advanced targeting, reporting, and data-driven decision-making. This is a hands-on, senior role with full ownership of technical design, execution, and architectural direction.
Architect and implement the organization’s data infrastructure, including databases, pipelines, and analytics platforms.
Design and build scalable data models that ensure accuracy, performance, and alignment with business needs.
Develop and own data warehousing solutions to support advanced analytics such as LTV, attribution, ROI, churn, and forecasting.
Lead the integration of marketing, CRM, and operational data to create a unified view of customer behavior.
Establish best practices for data modeling, identity resolution, and event tracking.
Take full ownership of AWS infrastructure, including VPC, EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
Ensure system resilience, security, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
Optimize database performance through schema design, indexing, and tuning.
Oversee serverless architectures and ETL/ELT pipelines.
Define and enforce data standards to ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance.
Mentor and guide teams on best practices in data management, analytics, and cloud operations.
Translate business and revenue objectives into technical data solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize high-impact initiatives.
5+ years of experience in data architecture, cloud engineering, or DevOps, with a strong focus on AWS and database design.
Proven experience building large-scale data platforms from the ground up.
Hands-on experience with modern data architectures, including data lakes, warehouses, and event-driven systems.
Deep expertise in AWS services including VPC, EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
Strong SQL skills, performance tuning, and data warehousing expertise.
Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as dbt, Airflow, or AWS Glue.
Familiarity with analytics and BI tools such as PowerBI and Fabric.
Ability to lead technical discussions, make architectural recommendations, and drive alignment.
Strong communication skills, able to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strategic, proactive, and pragmatic mindset with a hands-on execution approach.
A scalable, secure, and high-performance data infrastructure supporting real-time analytics and growth.
Clear ownership of the full data lifecycle, from architecture through execution and documentation.
