The Shopify Developer (CRO-Focused) will be responsible for building, customizing, and optimizing a high-performing Shopify storefront with a strong emphasis on conversion rate optimization. This role combines hands-on Shopify development with experimentation, analytics, and UX optimization to improve conversion rates, revenue, and overall customer experience.
Build, customize, and maintain Shopify themes, apps, and integrations.
Ensure site speed, mobile responsiveness, and a seamless checkout experience.
Implement custom features that support sales funnels and personalization efforts.
Run A/B tests across product pages, landing pages, checkout flows, and upsell experiences.
Optimize add-to-cart rates, reduce cart abandonment, and increase average order value.
Improve subscription flows and customer retention experiences.
Integrate and manage analytics, email capture, subscription, and CRO tools.
Use data from heatmaps, analytics platforms, and performance reports to inform optimization decisions.
Collaborate with marketing and design teams to implement data-driven site improvements.
3+ years of Shopify development experience.
Hands-on experience with conversion rate optimization, including testing tools and checkout optimization.
Strong proficiency in Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into action.
Comfort working cross-functionally with marketing and design teams.
Experience integrating third-party tools related to analytics, subscriptions, and CRO.
Measurable improvements in conversion rate, average order value, and revenue.
Faster site performance and a smoother, more reliable checkout experience.
A consistent CRO testing cadence with documented learnings and optimization wins.
