The Role
We are seeking a mid–senior accountant to support our Finance Operations Lead in managing the full accounting cycle for our Spanish entities and U.S. clients, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting under both Canary Islands regulations and US GAAP.
What You’ll Do
Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations (AP, AR, general ledger, bank reconciliations).
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Produce statutory financial statements and tax filings in line with Canary Islands and Spanish regulations.
Support the preparation of US GAAP financial statements and reporting packages for U.S. stakeholders.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow monitoring, and variance analysis.
Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors, preparing required documentation.
Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis and reports for management decision‑making.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a multinational or consultancy environment.
Solid knowledge of Canary Islands / Spanish accounting and tax regulations.
Proven experience with US GAAP (reporting, adjustments, reconciliations).
Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP software.
High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to meet deadlines.
Professional working proficiency in Spanish and English.
Nice to Have
Experience working with U.S. clients or in cross‑border environments.
Experience in the tech, software, or SaaS sector.
Exposure to Business Intelligence.
Familiarity with IFRS.
