The Tsui Group is seeking a qualified and experienced Contract Administrator III to join our aviation team in Los Angeles County. The Contract Administrator III shall support the APM Commercial Manager in development, oversight, and monitoring procedures to ensure contract compliance, including non-compliance and deductions requirements, relief event claims, change orders, and project close-out.
Position Description Summary:
The successful candidate will have proven contract administration experience with complex, multi-phase, multi-million-dollar construction and/or renovation projects. Performs a broad range of contract administrative duties, including procurements, billings, insurance, badging, and compliance.
Key Identifiers for the Position:
- Demonstrated experience administering and reporting on contracts for large-scale, complex projects; including developing and managing a progress reporting methodology for a complicated design effort. Experience with Design-Build and Construction Management at Risk delivery methods is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to understand technical and complicated construction programs and the ability to communicate progress to both technical- and management-level personnel.
- Ability to work with others, a self-starter with results-driven focus.
Essential Job Duties:
The Contract Administrator III duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Supports the APM Commercial Manager with the DBFOM Agreement and with commercial oversight and compliance.
- Coordinate with other functional support teams to assess disputes and relief events claims to prepare responses to claims, change orders, and other related contract documents.
- Contract compliance, analysis and issue resolution strategy.
- In conjunction with APM Commercial Manager, provides APM change control/contract administration and subject matter expertise in change orders, contractual and estimating processes, analysis, and resolution.
- Creation and development of contractual tracking and reconciliation processes during the D&C and O&M phases including:
- Availability Payments
- D&C period noncompliance occurrences
- O&M period noncompliance occurrences
- Approvals/sign-offs
- Creation and development of contractual and change order processes including:
- Relief and compensation events (claims)
- Change order content
- Analyzing merit of change proposals from Developer
- Supports Project Controls in generating independent estimates and schedules for Developer change orders determined to have merit
- Present change order and estimate evaluation findings
- Prepare required reports and correspondence
- Coordinate and obtain all required approvals/sign-offs
- Maybe required to work various shifts as needed
