The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in executing accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, and ensuring seamless financial operations for multiple clients. This role is integral to the Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) team, working closely with internal teams to streamline processes, ensure compliance, and enhance financial reporting.
Additionally, this individual will leverage cloud-based accounting tools such as Sage Intacct, FloQast, QuickBooks Online, and Xero to automate workflows, optimize efficiencies, and enhance financial close processes. The ability to work with reconciliation automation, workflow approvals, and real-time financial reporting tools will be key to ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial operations.

This position will report to the Team Manager(s). This position is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
Global Support
- Operate within a global framework, ensuring adaptability to support teams, meet deadlines and participate in virtual meetings across multiple time zones based in Canada, South Africa, U.K. or the U.S., as needed.
- Collaborate with international stakeholders, adjusting to varying schedules and priorities as needed.
- Facilitate seamless communication and coordination across CAAS teams to support sales operational efficiency.
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling to accommodate time-sensitive tasks and cross-regional collaboration.
Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, account reconciliations, and management reports.
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations with a focus on automation and efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards while ensuring the integrity of financial records.
- Utilize FloQast for financial close management, workflow tracking, and reconciliation processes.
Client Support & Advisory Services
- Work closely with clients to support their day-to-day accounting needs and provide timely financial insights.
- Assist in onboarding new clients, setting up Sage Intacct, and implementing financial workflows.
- Respond promptly to client requests, ensuring exceptional service and relationship management.
Technology & Process Improvement
- Leverage Sage Intacct and QuickBooks Online as primary accounting platforms for financial reporting, automation, and process optimization.
- Implement best practices for financial operations, including automation, process standardization, and internal controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Support financial technology integration projects, ensuring seamless adoption of new tools and systems for accounting, payroll, and reporting functions.
- Assist in payroll processing and compliance, working with payroll systems to ensure accurate wage calculations, tax filings, and reporting.
- Optimize reconciliation and close processes using FloQast, QuickBooks Online, and Sage Intacct, improving efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
Internal Collaboration & Process Alignment
- Participate in global accounting meetings, ensuring consistency and compliance across financial processes.
- Work closely with operations and finance teams to align accounting practices with business needs.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules, tax filings, and financial compliance documentation.
- Provide support to leadership by preparing financial data, reports, and insights for internal decision-making.
