Job Purpose / Summary The Sales Representative will be responsible for driving revenue growth across both commercial & public-sector accounts in India. This role involves acquiring new logos, expanding existing customer relationships, and managing the full sales cycle — from lead generation through negotiation & deal closure. The person will need to navigate complex procurement processes for government/public sector, understand compliance/security needs, and collaborate with internal teams (pre-sales, partners, marketing, legal) to deliver compelling value to prospects.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute a territory plan covering commercial businesses and public sector organizations (central & state govt, PSUs, semi-govt entities) to meet or exceed quarterly & annual revenue targets.
• Prospect for new customers—both commercial and public sector. Identify decision makers, build networks, relationships, engage in lobbying / consultative selling especially in public sector.
• Manage existing account portfolio: upsell, cross-sell, ensure renewal, drive expansion of usage.
• Understand customer business, regulatory/ security requirements, data-protection and compliance constraints. Configure solution proposals that meet both technical & business requirements.
• Lead and coordinate internal cross-functional teams (pre-sales, solutions engineering, legal, finance) to build and deliver proposals, proof-of-concepts, pilot projects etc.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, T&Cs, especially in public procurement / tendering cycles. Ensure alignment with company policies.
• Use CRM (Salesforce or other) to track all sales activities, update forecast, pipeline, report weekly/monthly.
• Collaborate with marketing & partner channels to generate leads, participate in events / webinars, build partner & reseller relationships to extend reach especially in public sector.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitive landscape, product / solution offering, industry trends (especially cyber, data protection, GovTech, compliance).
• Travel as necessary across India to meet customers, attend government tender / bid meetings, regional conferences.
