The Assistant Business Development Manager supports the International Business Development Manager in managing international clients, developing business opportunities, and coordinating intercompany and regional activities.
This role focuses on execution, account support, market research, and internal coordination to ensure seamless service delivery and business growth.
1. Support International Client & Buyer Development
- Assist in managing and maintaining relationships with international clients and buyers.
- Support the identification of new business opportunities and potential service expansions.
- Prepare client proposals, presentations, and commercial documentation.
2. Coordination of Intercompany & International Activities
- Facilitate coordination between local labs, regional offices, and global teams.
- Support contract and service agreement preparation and review.
- Track progress and ensure timely execution of client requests and internal deliverables.
3. Account & Issue Management
- Assist in monitoring international accounts and addressing issues in collaboration with internal teams.
- Ensure smooth communication between clients and internal stakeholders.
- Document and follow up on action items, escalations, and resolutions.
4. Market Analysis & Reporting
- Conduct market research and gather intelligence on industry trends, competitors, and client needs.
- Prepare regular reports, summaries, and dashboards for the International Business Development Manager.
- Contribute insights to support strategy development and decision-making.
5. Regional & Cross-Country Support
- Provide administrative and operational support to regional countries as required (e.g., India, Philippines, Thailand).
- Coordinate logistics for cross-country projects and client engagements.
- Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and client events.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in business development, sales support, or account management, preferably in international or multi-country environments.
- Exposure to TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification) services, food/feed industries, or related sectors is highly desirable.
- Experience in client coordination, proposal preparation, and commercial documentation.
- Experience in cross-functional and multicultural teams, with the ability to coordinate across departments and countries.
- Previous experience in market research, reporting, and supporting business strategy is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Food Science, Biotechnology, or related fields.
- Master’s degree or professional certification is a plus.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- Additional languages are advantageous.
- Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a matrix, multicultural, and international environment.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and accountable.
- Ability to travel internationally if required.
- Basic understanding of TIC services (testing, inspection, certification) or willingness to learn.
