Location Details: Serbia, remote

At GoDaddy, the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) , and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

Join Our Team

The UX Engineer team focuses on front-end, UX development and design. We are the bridge between UX design and code development. This person needs to have a solid foundation in UX/UI design, CSS3, HTML5, React, JavaScript, and their implementation across all modern browsers. The development teams we work with handle the backend integration, but you'll need to be familiar with design system components and the UI side of dynamic web apps. To be successful as a UX Engineer, you should be passionate about user satisfaction and eager to grow your skills in both design and development to create performant user experiences.

What you'll get to do...

  • Collaborate with UX designers, researchers, and engineers to implement user-centered front-end solutions and polished features.
  • Develop and refine prototypes and components using modern front-end technologies, paying close attention to design details.
  • Apply data-driven thinking and seek guidance from peers to solve user problems and deliver effective design solutions.
  • Identify potential roadblocks early in the design and development process, contributing to smooth project delivery.
  • Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, maintain sprint objectives, and engage promptly in code reviews and pull requests.

Your experience should include...

  • 2–4 years of experience with HTML, CSS, React, and JavaScript.
  • 1–2 years in a UX, design, or related technical environment, with familiarity with design tools like Figma or Sketch.
  • Understanding of design fundamentals (patterns, composition, balance, white space) and accessibility standards (A–AA compliance).
  • Experience with Git/GitHub, basic unit testing and automation, and the ability to debug front-end issues across environments.
  • Knowledge of CSS transitions/animations and experience contributing to design systems or component libraries.

You might also have...

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA.
  • Knowledge of user-centered design principles and iterative design processes.
  • Understanding of how technical limitations impact design decisions.
  • Good communication skills to articulate design and technical decisions to team members.
  • Experience working in cross-functional team environments.

We've got your back... We offer a range of total rewards that may include paid time off, retirement savings (e.g., 401k, pension schemes), bonus/incentive eligibility, equity grants, participation in our employee stock purchase plan, competitive health benefits, and other family-friendly benefits including parental leave. GoDaddy’s benefits vary based on individual role and location and can be reviewed in more detail during the interview process.

We also embrace our diverse culture and offer a range of Employee Resource Groups (Culture). Have a side hustle? No problem. We love entrepreneurs! Most importantly, come as you are and make your own way.
