Accountabilities
- Provide legal guidance on sales-side commercial transactions
- Draft, negotiate, and review complex agreements
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams for product counseling
- Mitigate and manage risk associated with legal agreements
- Improve and update operational processes within the legal department
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration with various stakeholders
- Assist in establishing best practices for complex data in-licenses
Requirements
- 7+ years of practicing attorney experience
- 2+ years at a top-tier law firm
- 5+ years in-house at a technology company
- Experience with sales-side commercial transactions
- Technical background in computer science or engineering preferred
- Extensive experience in sales negotiations and complex deals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-centric orientation with practical negotiation skills
- Active membership in at least one US state bar
