We’re hiring a Product Lead to own the Insurance stream at Kota — the product that powers how employers offer and manage their group insurance benefits.
This includes health, dental, vision, critical illness, standalone life and income protection, and other risk-based coverage products.
You’ll lead a cross-functional team (backend, frontend, mobile, and design) to shape how insurers, employers, and employees connect through Kota. You’ll blend product intuition, technical literacy, and delivery leadership to make complex insurance products simple, transparent, and human.
This isn’t a traditional PM or EM role — it’s ideal for someone who’s shipped product before, understands both customer value and delivery trade-offs, and wants to run a small, autonomous team with real ownership.
Shape and lead 6-week Shape Up cycles for new insurance features and provider integrations.
Simplify insurer onboarding, plan setup, premium management, and benefit workflows.
Lead design, engineering, and operations to ship fast, high-quality projects and improvements.
Translate compliance and underwriting complexity into user-friendly flows.
Coach product engineers and designers to make smart scope and delivery decisions.
Experience as a founder, PM/tech lead, or product-engineering hybrid in a high-ownership environment.
Familiarity with insurance, healthcare, or financial product architecture.
Proven ability to lead discovery and delivery end-to-end.
Clear communication and good product taste — balancing speed and quality.
Comfort guiding a small, senior team focused on outcomes, not tickets.
