Role overview:
Match Group and its portfolio of brands, including global brands such as Tinder and Hinge, and leading regional brands in Asia Pacific such as Japan’s dating and matrimony app Pairs, are seeking a public affairs, government relations, and/or corporate communications professional to lead engagement with policymakers, regulators, media, and key stakeholders across APAC. This role is central to shaping the company’s public narrative, strengthening institutional relationships, and fostering a regulatory environment that supports innovation, user safety, and responsible growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a strong track record operating at the intersection of corporate communications, public affairs, and government relations.
Key responsibilities:
● Develop and execute integrated corporate affairs strategies that combine corporate communications, government relations, and advocacy, including the design and delivery of coordinated public affairs and communications campaigns with public sector officials, NGOs, and aligned industries.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with media, policymakers, regulators, industry associations, and civil society, ensuring consistent and credible engagement.
● Lead regional corporate communications efforts, including media strategy, messaging, and issues management.
● Represent Match Group’s positions with national and local stakeholders, directly and through coalitions and trade associations, and act as a spokesperson at industry events, policy forums, and coalitions where appropriate.
● Facilitate, prepare, and support high-level engagements between company executives and government, regulatory, and industry leaders, including briefings, messaging, and materials.
● Develop and manage a network of trusted third-party validators and advocates to support and amplify corporate narratives and public policy positions.
● Partner closely with internal teams (Business, Legal, Safety) and external advisors to ensure aligned messaging, coordinated communications, and effective policy engagement.
● Contribute to the development of corporate narratives, media materials, policy positions, white papers, and consultation responses on issues relevant to the region.
